"Medium gold with silver highlights, the 2021 Chardonnay Marin County is smoky and savory, with aromas of forest herbs, lemon candy, and ripe green apple. Medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity, more linear drive, and pleasant, mouthwatering freshness, its smoky perfume lasts on the finish, along with fresh herbs and a bit of salinity." - Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, July 2023
Tasting Notes
Our inaugural 2021 Chardonnay exhibits aromas of grilled citrus and pineapple, opening with time into dried flowers and lemon verbena. Vivid flavors of citrus, pear and a focused texture are driven by the cool conditions and naturally low yielding vines from this unique growing site.
Vineyard & Vintage Character
2021 was a fantastic season in the cool climate of Marin County, with beautiful ripening and flavor development producing a rich, yet elegant wine. This wine is sourced from a small, dry-farmed vineyard on rolling hills in an area of Marin that has been home to cattle and dairies for the last century. Today there are small vineyard sites scattered across Marin that are producing very interesting and distinct fruit.
